Concept of space evoked on three main grounds; create a hymn of solitary through a more temporary set up with a time worthy construction period.

The space was considered as the simplest of its expression. Neither form dominated nor space, a perfect mingling and cohesion to generate ooze sophistication. The austere steel frame skeleton is finely adorned with four pieces of shipping container. The longest one is adjoined with two, forming the bed rooms. The rustic romanticism those containers evokes are taken delightfully by the architects to recreate a place that just impeccably out of the world, surreal.

The barren surroundings have given the project an added touch up of solitary. Spaces glow with morning light; humbly sparkle at night. The kaleidoscopic aura of space is weaved with utter neatness to extenuate the imposing grandeur of the steel frame. Escape Den. Taking on a bold move with shipping container architecture, Ar.

Their fashion brand Ecstasy proliferated gradually, now being one of the leading names in the fashion industry of the country with multiple labels under its wing. The couple being risk-taker by nature always loves to explore the extraordinary. After the site inspection, the design team realized that the ground would not be able to withstand the weight of a building.

As a result, they had to think of a lightweight structure that would require less piling or footing. Thus came the idea of shipping container structure. The non-enchanting look of hard core containers needed to be converted into a comfortable and visually pleasing built form.

The scale of individual container has been schemed in a way that both internal and external space dialogues with it. The exposed steel structures thus create a harmonious effect. We often play tennis in the court or just sit in the gazebo sipping coffee and catching up while our children run around and play in the lawn. Openness in each room is achieved by using floor to ceiling glass windows through which one can enjoy natural light and the breathtaking panorama of the outskirts.

The three-storied structure is now a hidden gem nestled in a quiet, green oasis, embracing its lush surroundings. Tanjim Haque and Asma Sultana consider this to be their temporary home, where they visit during weekends to spend time with friends and family, host guests or simply unwind amidst the nature. The steel frame skeleton transformed four pieces of shipping containers into a light-filled, three-storied house, spanning over an expanse of sq meters approx.

Upon entrance, one can sense a calm aura and gaze upon the harmony created between the greenery and the large open spaces within the structure. The rustic romanticism the place exudes is impeccably out of the world, rarely a view to be experienced in a concrete jungle like Dhaka.

Completed within 7 months, the cargotecture structure does not hide its shipping container roots yet manages to make it look unintimidating and livable. In terms of materials, the most off track one was perhaps the container itself. The walls, floors and stairs were made from abandoned wooden decks used in ships, contributing to the sustainable approach of the design. The architects wanted to preserve the rustic feel of the materials rather than concealing the stories each container had from the travels by sea.

The structure is spread out across three floors, where the open kitchen, dining space and small seating area are set on the elevated ground floor. A flight of stairs traverses the central atrium space where almond tree and green creepers hang from the ceiling and connects to the glass enclosed living room.We quickly came up with sketches and wasted no time in pitching the idea. Tanjim Haque was on board instantaneously!

As intriguing as the concept sounded, nothing had prepared me for what waited in Bashundhara when Fida had asked me to accompany him on a visit to Block M. The three-storied structure is now a hidden secret, tucked far away from the prying eyes of urban life.

One step onto the plot, and a sense of calm and stillness sets upon you just as the architects intended. Past the entrance, the first sight to befall your eyes is the harmony between the greenery and large open spaces within the structure.

As I breathe in the serenity, and walk towards the front of the house, a juvenile almond tree at the atrium welcomes me, adorned with floating Mason jar candles. A wire mesh screen with aluminum pergolas covers the top of the tree. Hints of green vines were steadily growing to cover the mesh and protect the sapling for many summers to come; this young tree resides in the central triple height of the house, beckoning in fresh air for ventilation.

The front lawn made me nostalgic.

All you see is green, the perfect place for children to run around, riding their bicycles, while the elders sit in the gazebo, sipping tea, sharing a laugh while watching over the little ones.

The staircase that sweeps upwards surrounds the tree, never barring its presence as one walks to and fro between the floors, from one container room to the other, that are secured on steel column-beam structures.

Every room on every floor stays true to the theme of relaxation and tranquility with large windows, beckoning in natural light and the neutral colours of the furniture and interior to complement one another. The first floor contains a kitchen, small lounge, dining space and a toilet. An extension of the container allows the kitchen space to be closed off by a metal glass screen door transforming the outside dining space into a ship deck on land. It must be mentioned that the lounge on the second floor does have a little splash of loud colours to it that gives it an overall vibe of a space where one can sit, chat and spend time with friends and family catching up, playing fun games or just reminiscing about old times.

The two bedrooms on the top most floor, is situated one behind the other. The rooms were carefully designed with optimum usage of space; the comfortable beds are carefully positioned so that no matter where you look, you either have a view of the lawn or the infinite sky.

A small little spherical staircase beside the room leads to the terrace where there is a small patch of green that aids with insulation.

Although at a glance this is a container house, it does create a space around itself; one of a kind home, that exudes rural vibes onto a modern structure. Architect: Kazi Fida Islam, Md. Photo Courtesy: Hasan Saifuddin Chandan. Skip to main content.

He did not predict how it would occur, stating that it might involve nuclear devastation, asteroid impact, pole shift or other Earth changes. JenkinsThese Christian authors stated that the Y2K bug would trigger global economic chaos, which the Antichrist would use to rise to power. As the date approached, however, they changed their minds. The leader of the True and Living Church of Jesus Christ of Saints of the Last Days predicted the Second Coming of Christ would occur on this day.

According to her website, aliens in the Zeta Reticuli star system told her through messages via a brain implant of a planet which would enter our solar system and cause a pole shift on Earth that would destroy most of humanity. This Japanese cult predicted the world would be destroyed by a nuclear war between October 30 and November 29, 2003. In his 1990 book The New Millennium, Robertson suggests this date as the day of Earth's destruction. He prophesied nuclear explosions in U. After his prophecy failed to come true he changed the date for the return of Jesus Christ to May 27, 2012.

When his original prediction failed to come about, Camping revised his prediction and said that on May 21, a "Spiritual Judgment" took place, and that both the physical Rapture and the end of the world would occur on October 21, 2011. Others predicted that Elenin would collide with Earth on October 16.

Scientists tried to calm fears by stating that none of these events were possible. The 2012 phenomenon predicted the world would end at the end of the 13th b'ak'tun. Mayanist scholars stated that no extant classic Maya accounts forecasted impending doom, and that the idea that the Long Count calendar ends in 2012 misrepresented Maya history and culture. These Christian ministers claimed that the tetrad in 2014 and 2015 may allegedly represent prophecies given in the Bible relating to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Author, scientist, and conspiracy theorist David Meade predicted that an unseen planet, Nibiru (or sometimes Planet X), would become visible in the Earth's sky and that said planet would then "soon" destroy the Earth and Armageddon would take place during this date.

The chances are only 1 out of 300,000. Rather, he gave it as a date before which it could not happen. He later revised this date to 2016. Talmud, Orthodox JudaismAccording to an opinion about the Talmud in mainstream Orthodox Judaism, the Messiah will come within 6000 years of the creation of Adam, and the world may be destroyed 1000 years later. This would put the beginning of the period of desolation in the year 2239 CE and the end of the period of desolation in the year 3239 CE.

According to this Egyptian-American biochemist's research on the Quran, the world will end during that year. The star's axis of rotation will have yet to be determined with certainty.

Earth will have likely been hit by an asteroid of roughly 1 km in diameter during this period, assuming it cannot be averted. Bostrom writes "In order to cause the extinction of human life, the impacting body would probably have to be greater than 1 km in diameter (and probably 3 - 10 km)".

However, the supernova would have to be precisely oriented relative to Earth to have any negative effect. However, as the Sun grows gradually hotter (over millions of years), Earth may become too hot for life as early as one billion years from now. Only prokaryotes will remain. Other possible scenarios include Mercury colliding with the Sun, being ejected from the Solar System, or colliding with Earth.
